concept: the plot is fuzzy and you/the characters don’t know what’s going on. 

but, basically: this couple is drugged by a dude because they were witnesses to his act of arson. the theme is innocent appearances transforming into malignant realities. SO you see this “innocent” book of matches, get a hint of smoke on the spine, and then when you turn to the back it’s all burnt up and you don’t know why. The synopsis text similarly starts off fine and then literally falls apart.
